Materials & manufacturing methods
CNC machining
Digital cutting and milling of EPS, XPS, polyurethane model stock and wood.

Cost & setup
Geometry and time dependent
Material, toolpaths, roughing, finishing time and surface treatment determine cost.
Detail & surface
Tool diameter, access and available axes limit detail. Not every concave geometry can be machined in one setup.
Strength & stiffness
Strength comes from the material, sections and joints, not from CNC machining itself.
Weight
Material density and the remaining section determine weight.
Use & exposure
End use is assessed against the material and protective finish.
One-off & repeated production
Suitable for individual parts, patterns and repeated elements.
Delivered finish
Visible tool marks or sanding and an agreed finish.
How we make it
- Plan drawings, stock and workholding.
- Rough and finish-machine.
- Check dimensions, joints and surface.
What can be made?
- Reliefs
- Mold patterns
- Furniture components
What affects the price?
- Material and stock
- Tool access and machining time
- New setups and finish
Limitations
- Inside corners retain the tool radius. Inaccessible regions may need split parts, another setup or a complementary process.
